An immersive art exhibition that engages audiences and enables visitors to “CO-CREATE” works of art in the exhibition.

What People Are Saying:

The exhibition at the Ukrainian Museum in New York, titled RE:CREATE by the artist Christina Saj, is a revelatory event that absorbs and challenges the viewer. In a gesture both generous and brilliant, Saj posits a group of large vibrantly colored paintings, whose surface is magnetized, along with a large array of small, variously shaped and colored abstract forms. Her invitation, indeed her charge to us, is to transcend the passive role of viewer by choosing from a variety of smaller forms and incorporating them into the large painting. By transforming and reimagining the image the viewer becomes and engaged participant in the creative act – an experience at once immersive and uplifting. The dynamic, involved interaction among those engaged in the exhibition, which often included the active participation of the artist herself, only further ratifies the richness and validity of this compelling experiment.
